سورة القارعة هي السورة 101 في ترتيب المصحف، وعدد آياتها 11 آية. وهي سورة مكية، ونزلت السورة 30 من حيث ترتيب النزول.

## النص

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

**101:1** ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

> The Calamity!

**101:2** مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

> What is the Calamity?

**101:3** وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

> Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is!

**101:4** يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ

> A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths

**101:5** وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ

> And the mountains will become as carded wool.

**101:6** فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

> Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works),

**101:7** فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ

> He will live a pleasant life.

**101:8** وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

> But as for him whose scales are light,

**101:9** فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ

> A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother,

**101:10** وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ

> Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! -

**101:11** نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ

> Raging Fire.
