## Text

بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

**97:1** إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

> Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.

**97:2** وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ

> Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!

**97:3** لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

> The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

**97:4** تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

> The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.

**97:5** سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ

> (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.
