Quran reading plan

The standard mushaf has 604 pages, 30 juz and 6,236 verses. To finish it, divide the pages by your days: about 20 pages a day for a month — one juz — 86 a day for a week, or one to two a day for a year. The table and the schedule builder below do the arithmetic for any goal.

Common questions

How many pages a day to finish the Quran?

Divide the 604 pages of the standard mushaf by the number of days you have. That gives 20.1 pages a day for a month, 86.3 for a week and 1.7 for a year. The table on this page works it out for the common goals, and the calculator for any number of days.

How many pages a day to finish the Quran in a month?

About 20 — one juz a day. 604 pages over 30 days is 20.1; over a 29-day month it is 20.8, so 21 pages a day finishes in either.

How many pages are in the Quran?

604 in the standard Madinah mushaf, which is the page numbering used across this site. Other printings number their pages differently — the 13- and 15-line editions common in South Asia among them — so if you read from one, divide its own page count by your days. The juz boundaries are the same in all of them.

How many verses a day to finish the Quran in a year?

About 17: there are 6,236 verses. Verses vary enormously in length, though, so a schedule by page — one or two a day — gives far more even days than one by verse count.
